July wins

Lots of lovely wins again last month, even with taking loads of naps.  I don't do well in the heat.

A tiny oven glove from Borges Olive Oil.  We did need a new oven glove, and it's maybe a bit mean of me to complain, but I can only just get my hand into it!

£100 from Kumala Wine.  They gave away too many prizes on their facebook app, and honoured all prizes given.  So, thank you Kumala wine!

2 tickets to the Verdi Requiem at Llangollen Eisteddfod, local paper

National Trust family day pass

4 boxes of Dorset cereal oat granola.  Yummy!  We will buy more of it.

2 pairs of sunglasses with this is competitions.

A bottle of pepsi.  Well, it could have been a phone.  At least I drink pepsi!

Some Neal and Wolf samples, on twitter.

£100 tesco gift card, tesco/pepsi promotion.  Well done Mum for winning too!

Ipod shuffle, post office facebook instant win.

SpecialK cereal and bar, another facebook instant.

A lucky month!

June wins

Firstly, the biggie.  My daughter has finished her degree, that's more than I ever managed, and she has achieved a 2:1. Well done her!

Lots of lovely prizes again, I do like comping.

From the Stella Beauty giveaway -
Skin Food by Weleda
Wall's mini milk lip-balm from Lip Smacker
Ultra Hydrating Cream by Trilogy
Somerset Meadow Bath & Shower Gel by Crabtree & Evelyn, travel size (this smells gorgeous!)

3 Butter London varnishes, thank you so much Laura!  www.ascottishlass.net/
3 True Crime mags, on twitter.  Partner quite happy to read those.  I prefer crime fiction.
The Iceman, signed film poster.  Thank you @handbag.com!
Apron and some Burts Chips (These arrived the other day, and the crisps are gone already. Possibly the nicest crisps ever. Not too salty, not greasy, really crispy. Yum!)
BareMinerals lipgloss, from Cosmopolitan magazine

So, here's to July.  Half the year gone already. Eek!

What's in my handbag?

I spotted this competition on www.moneysupermarket.com ages ago, and now, here is my entry!  Hope if you see this, you have a go too.  Closes in a few days, you've got until midnight Monday, 1st July.

Simply write a blog post to tell us what is in your handbag. We’re interested to see pictures of your handbags and what you’ve got in them, which will really help us to get to know you better and piece together just what the average handbag contains.
As part of your post, make sure you take into account just how much the items (including your handbags) are worth. From a designer purse to expensive foundation, the value of the contents of our bags can soon add up.

Well!  I don't carry a handbag.  I'm too busy trying to stay on my feet for that.  But here's what I have on my attractive 3-wheeled walker.

So a cloth bag, free from some competition win or promo
Doggy poo bags £2.50 for a load of them
Keys, guessing about £20 to get them recut.  My partner would change the lock if needed, she wouldn't pay someone to do that.
Phone - easy to use with big buttons, no fancy functions.  I want to be able to talk and text.  I think that was my request!  Can't remember, but maybe £40?
Torch - £20
Sweets!  £1
In winter, maybe some lip salve.

So there we are!  I don't think this is a typical bag, but as this is what I take with me when I walk my dog, it's my bag.  And even just that is over £80.

I've won Butter London Starkers Collection

Just had a message on twitter saying I'd won this giveaway - http://www.ascottishlass.net/2013/04/butter-london-starkers-collection.html  How lovely!  My nails are strong and long at the moment, not sure how I've managed that, but looking forward to those colours.  I think they will suit me.  I hope!  Thank you Laura.

Yay!
